Multi-cultural music – Turkish & Persian music
Hi, Colleagues, I have a diverse population in my choruses and I try to include music from all the countries represented in my groups at some time during their study with me. Hopson Two Part Anthem Collection
I am looking for a collection of two part anthems edited by Hal Hopson and published by Lorenz ( I think). My copy has disappeared and the collection is apparently out of print. Composers included are Handel, Hopson (setting of Nettleton), and others. Can any help me to identify the name of this collection so […]

Thinking ahead…programming for a 300th Birthday Celebration!

Railings for Risers
Aloha, I teach in a small private school. A year ago we purchased some wonderful Wenger Tourmaster portable risers, which have worked nicely. Considering purchasing the back and side rails also, but it’s quite an expenditure for us. Thoughts?
A Cappella Neapolitan arrangements
Colleagues, I’m not making much headway in my search for music of Southern Italy for our tour. Keep sending those ideas along (and I do know of Palestrina). Latest thought – does anyone have/know of arrangements of any of the typical Neapolitan songs (‘Funiculi, Funicula”; “O Sole Mio”) for mixed choir a cappella? I […]
Ergen Deda
Dear Choral Directors, Ergen Deda by Peter Lyondev…does anyone have word by word translation? Or, a summary what the folk song is about? I know it’s Bulgarian, but that’s about it. Please help me clear the clouds.
