Hymnos ensemble seeking additional SATB singers

April 13, 2016 by Eric Sorum Leave a Comment

Hymnos is a vocal small ensemble of 8-10 singers who specialize in traditional styles of polyphony, chant, and folk song. Our upcoming performances will feature Renaissance polyphony, Gregorian chant, and African folk anthems.

We are seeking a tenor, and possibly other voice parts of high caliber to add to an already strong ensemble for this project.

The dates for this project are as follows:

Sunday Apri. 24 3-6PM
Friday April 29 7-9PM
Sunday May 8 6-8PM
Friday May 13 7-9PM

Performances:
Saturday May 14 call time 2:30, performance at 4:00PM
Sunday May 15 call time 2:30, performance at 4:00PM

Singers are paid a rate of $10 per hour of rehearsal or performance.

Auditions are arranged with the director individually, and consist of vocalizing and sight-reading. No prepared piece is required.
