Four hours of Great Sacred Music this Sunday. Since we came up a bit short last month
during the Fall Membership Drive, we’ll be fund raising this week. I call it Fund Raising Lite
because I have scheduled several long works as is our usual Sunday morning custom and less talk.
Since you are already a loyal supporter of the station, I would ask only that you consider the uncertain
tax climate which appears to be coming in 2013. Perhaps 2012 is the right time for you to make an
extra gift to The Classical Station?
I have often said that stations like ours which play nothing but classical music are few and far between.
That is a fact now more than ever. We have been volunteer-powered and listener-supported since 1978.
The money to run the station comes from you and me. Period. Please do what you can.
I also wanted to point out that I am programming Peaceful Reflections in the format we used so successfully
for 8 years on Sunday evenings. You can hear choral and organ music interspersed with instrumental music
beginning at 10 p.m. each Sunday evening. Comments and suggestions always welcome.
