THE LAKE ISLE OF INNISFREE poem by W. B. Yeats

July 5, 2015 by James Johnson Leave a Comment

I have recently completed a setting of Wiliam Butler Yeats’ poem, The Lake Isle of Innisfree (public domain), SATB,
about 3:00, homophoniic in style, and not difficult. 2015 is the 150th Anniversary of Yeat’s birth (1865-1939), so perhaps
this work will be found suitable for programming in a variety of contexts. This poem is one of Yeat’s most widely known.

All my works are written in Sibelius, so a PDF copy of the score and an MP3 audio file of the Sibelius playback
(choral parts only heard as “oooo”s) are available for perusal.

Please have a look at some of my other choral scores on my ChoralNet page, and visit my site: www.jamesjohnsonmusic.net
for more career information.  Thank you for your interest. James Johnson
