Stephen Haydn Prosser (1952-2012)

October 28, 2012 by Brian O'Connell Leave a Comment

Colleagues,

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you of the passing of Stephen Haydn Prosser. As well as being a consummate professor of ear training, Steve was a choral composer of great craft and depth. His ability to set text both musically and meaningfully was indeed rare. Throughout the years, hundreds of my former students from Berklee College of Music and other schools and workshops, were deeply moved by the beauty of his music. He will be missed.
