BRISTOL, UK — Bristol postmen have become the latest workers to show their singing talent on TV. Joining a choir drawn from Royal Mail sorting offices around the South West, they completed months of singing practice with celebrated choirmaster Gareth Malone.
The results were broadcast last night on BBC2 series The Choir: Sing While You Work. The group of 30 started in April, with Mr Malone guiding them to a contest with other workplace choirs. The Royal Mail choir contains members from Kingswood and Filton sorting offices. Sam Fry, 50, from Kingswood, was selected as a tenor and received one-on-one tuition from Mr Malone.
