Missouri Choral Directors Association Summer Conference

March 22, 2011 by Leave a Comment

As the spring arrives the days become even busier. . .encourage yourself and your acquaintenances to participate in the Missouri Choral Directors Association Summer Conference, July 20-23, 2011 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City.   “No Singer Left Behind” promises to be a wonderful time of concerts, informative sessions and exhibits.

Once again our Repertoire and Standards Chairs have a stellar line-up of the “best in the business”.    Emily Ellsworth, Connie Drosakis and Sandra Snow will be directing the 5th/6th Grade, 7th/8th Grade and 9th/10th Grade Honor Choirs respectively.  Rollo Dilworth will be returning to the Summer Conference, but this time will direct the Church and Community Choir.  Ly Tartell will be conducting the All-State Jazz Choir and directing the All-State Show Choir will be Terry Voss.  Please refer to the MCDA website, www.moacda.org for audition and repertoire information.

With the summer conference title of “No Singer Left Behind”, it reminds us to be grateful for the tireless efforts of the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education.  Through research and the accumulation of data that is Missouri-specific, they continue to be strong advocates for all those that believe in the importance of a fine arts enhanced education.  We thank you and more importantly, the future musicians, artists, dancers and thespians thank you.
