November 16, 2012 by Stanley Schmidt Leave a Comment

You are invited to listen to one of the longest running choral radio shows in America    It’s Called Going Beyond Words and is broadcast on KVNO.ORG out of the University of Nebraska in Omaha. After you find KVNO.ORG just click on Listen.   The show runs from 12 to 1 on Sundays Central Time.  The Producer and Host is Stan Schmidt, a life member of ACDA.   If you visit WWW.GOINGBEYONDWORDS.COM you will find information about Stan and is 50 years in broadcasting.   The Catologue lists the titles of all the shows aired over the 20 years.   Then go to the Blog where you will find images of CD’s used and a complete list of songs for every program over the last three and one half years.

Stan Selects music on a theme ideas and uses music from over 7500 Choral CD’s collected from around the world.   The show is produced in his home in Sioux Falls SD.

If you are truly a choral nut then Going Beyond Words should be on your list.
