“Do You Hear What I Hear?” SATB a cappella

August 23, 2014 by Ken Malucelli Leave a Comment

The Merrie Olde Christmas Carolers’ SATB a cappella arrangement of “Do You Hear What I Hear?” is now available for your more advanced choirs.  Each verse is a solo for separate voice section, progressing from B to A to S to T, with the three non-solo sections singing accompaniment in semi-canon; each verse is up a whole step from the last, and there are a few harmonic surprises thrown in, here and there, as well as a gospel-tinged coda with off-beat tambourine strikes for the Bass section.

Hear a solo quartet version of the piece: https://sites.google.com/site/sbarta30/mocc  track 12

To view excerpts from the full score (8 pages), you may e-mail me directly: Ken(at)PrinceSF.com

Thanks much for your consideration and have fun filling out your holiday programs.
