Going Beyond Words w/ Stan Schmidt
Show 2321 – The Light is Shining

This week on Going Beyond Words and ACDA Radio, Host Stan Schmidt invites you to a broadcast of music by African American composers and musicians that will add to your seasonal listening.

You will hear the voice of Jazz musician Joe Willams, Bass Kevin Maynor with a marvelous piece from a CD called The Black Art Song;  The VocalEssence Ensemble Singers conducted by Philip Brunelle with music by Undine Smith Moore and Evelyn Simpson-Curenton; a special Spiritual encore from the Un of Wisconsin-Madison under Robert Fountain.  Also some great singing from the St. Jacob’s Choir from Stockholm led by Gary Graden and the Choral Project of San Jose with Daniel Hughes; And from a Collectors item a special treat of three selections from a Studio Recording done in Ann Arbor Michigan in August of 1999, by The Brazeal Dennard Chorale and given to me at an ACDA National Convention by Mr. Dennard.

For a look at the CD’s used and a complete list of the music heard go to the blog of WWW.GOINGBEYONDWORDS.COM website and click on show 2321
