Serious World Choral Enunciations (Encore Performance)

This week on ACDA Radio and ChoralNet, Host Stan Schmidt invites you to an Encore performance of a program titles “Serious World Choral Enunciations”. You can recall a song of Praise based on Psalm 96 by Mormon composer Merrill Bradshaw (1929-2000) performed by the Kölner Kantorei directed by Volker Hempfling; A Memorial for those who died at Sandy Hook in 2012 composed by Elllen Zwillich and performed by the New York Virtuoso Singers led by Harold Rossenbaum with the Canticum Novum Youth Choir; The Music of Felix Mendelssohn offers solace with a setting of Psalm 91 He will charge His Angels to take care of you; A Lord’s Prayer by Bach’s only Grandson Wilhelm Friedrich Ernst Bach; An interesting Spiritual setting by American Composer David Lang called “The Same Train” and concluding with the Gloria from the Very Famous “Great Mass in C” by Mozart KV427 a new version by Robert D. Levin performed by the  Gächinger Kantorei of Stuttgard guided by Helmuth Rilling.
