   Cute, but… not so anachronistic as one might believe.    As a 30-year Security Professional, I was occasionally called to do forensic work.  KEYPADS leave visible marks on frequently used keys often to the point of reducing the «mystery» code to the perrmutation of only four digits.  A rotary dial does not have that flaw (at least to nearly the same degree).  SMARTer!
