FIVE FROM THE FOLDER: 3-PART (8th Grade) by Lisa Larsen

1.  "A Song to You I Sing," Arcadelt, arr.Liebergen, Brilee, SAB, #BL530
A short renaissance work, a cappella, add drums and finger cymbals.

2.  "In This Ancient House" (Momoshiki Ya), R.M. Gray, Heritage Music Press, SAB, #15/2407H
Sung in both Japanese and English. Sounds mystical.  Very accessible.

3.  "Rhythm of Life," Coleman/arr. Barnes, Shawnee Press, SAB, #35018257
Kids love this. Lots of words, energy, and easy parts to learn. (We skip the flip your wings part)

4.  "Lightning!," Greg Gilpin, Heritage Music Press, SAB, 15/2551H
Can’t miss with a song that starts “Electric fingers reaching”. Lots of energy, word painting and quite dramatic.

5.  "With a Voice of Singing," Martin Shaw, G Schirmer, SAB, #50305310
Make your 8th graders sound like HS kids! Easily learned parts help put it together quickly.
