Thanksgiving is next week. Have you run it yet?
You’ve been working dilligently, doing all of the things that go into a successful rehearsal process (to even attempt to list them all would crash the ACDA server). But have you run the program yet? Have you run it front-to-back, without stopping to fix, without uttering a sound, standing on risers?
Some folks don’t run the program until the so-called ‘dress rehearsal.’ I know of some colleagues who don’t hear the finished product until the audience is seated behind them. (Am I the only one who finds that prospect terrifying?)
You have a couple days next week before everyone scatters for their annual tryptophan fix. Use that time to run the program. It might make you uncomfortable not stopping to fix every micro thing, but you’ll benefit from having the macro-view.
