Since last Friday, ChoralNet email has been blocked by AOL servers due to "high complaint volume". We're working with the AOL Postmasters to restore service, but we have no time estimate from them as to when service will be restored.
- If you are on AOL (or Yahoo), and you don't want to receive ChoralNet mail, don't use the "Mark as Spam" function; just unsusbscribe using the unsubscribe link on all mail you receive from ChoralNet. (If you're receiving some mail you want and some you don't, you can customize the mail you receive by going to My ChoralNet > Subscription email options and changing the options as you see fit).
- If you use "Mark as Spam" on AOL or Yahoo, we get a message back when you do this. If the message is legitimately spam, we will of course investigate it; otherwise, if we receive a batch of messages that you've marked as spam that aren't actually spam, we will suspend your ChoralNet account, usually within hours (and occasionally within minutes!).
- If you're receiving suspected spam mail from a ChoralNet address, please contact us ASAP using Contact Us. We work hard to keep ChoralNet a respectful, secure, and spam-free community; and if you're getting mail you don't want, we want to hear about it.
- We have no time estimate from AOL as to when service to AOL users will be restored. If you want to receive ChoralNet mail before we have this problem resolved, you'll need to change your e-mail to a non-AOL email address, such as a GMail address or an institutional e-mail server.
