From Midway to Hilton:
Follow signs to “CTA trains”. Go to a farecard machine and buy a farecard — $4.50 is enough for a round trip. The machines don’t give change, so it’s handy to have exact change or a $5 bill at least The airport is the end of the line, so no chance to go the wrong way on the train.
Take Orange Line train to the Roosevelt Rd. stop. Get off at Roosevelt, follow the signs down the stairs to the Red Line – get on the Red Line north (toward “Howard”). Take the Red line one stop to Harrison.
When you come out of the Harrison station to street level – look for the elevated train tracks – you must go under these to get to the Hilton. Walk 1 block south to Balbo (facing south, the tracks are on your left). Turn left on Balbo, walk under the tracks, and continue 2 blocks, and you’ll see the Hilton on your right at the corner of Michigan and Balbo. (address: 720 S. Michigan)
