Chicago 2011 – Featuring Grammy Winners

February 16, 2011 by philip copeland Leave a Comment

Oh . . . There are many reasons you don’t want to miss the ACDA Conference in Chicago.

Here is another:

The conference will feature 2011 Grammy Award winning Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus under guest conductor Helmuth Rilling. The CSO’s recording of Verdi’s Requiem, led by Music Director Riccardo Muti, was awarded two Grammy Awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences at the 53rd annual awards ceremony in LA on Feb. 13, 2011. The recording of Verdi’s Requiem, on the orchestra’s own CSO Resound label (distributed by Naxos), won Best Clasical Album and Best Choral Performance. Chicago Symphony Chorus Duain Wolfe, also to be featured in master class at the 2011 ACDA National Conference, was awarded Grammy statuettes for the recording.
It is going to be great! Come join us.
