Important ACDA vote this month

An important vote for ACDA is coming up – keep reading.
 
The American Choral Directors Association is holding a national election through the end of January for the position of National Chair of the Repertoire and Standards Committee (R&S). Members may vote by clicking on this link.
 
The R&S Committee is one of six Standing Committees of ACDA, and is made up of ACDA's fourteen repertoire and focus areas. The National Chair for R&S chairs this standing committee.

Candidates for the National R&S Chair position are Amy Blosser and Robyn Lana. Both Blosser and Lana are currently serving as R&S committee members, bringing their own area focus as well as committee experience to this important national election. Nancy Cox, current R&S National Chair, concludes her term of service at the end of June, 2011.

    The most frequently asked question we are getting in the National ACDA Office is “which area is this R&S person the chair of?”, and the answer is, this election determines the chair of the entire R&S Committee. That committee consists of the various chairs of the 14 different repertoire areas.This election determines an extremely important position for ACDA, and has previously been expertly managed by ACDA leaders such as Barbara Tagg, and the current chair, Nancy Cox. This person also serves on the National Leadership Board of ACDA. I encourage all ACDA members to login and vote.
