Spooky

June 27, 2010 by Allen H Simon Leave a Comment

This photo of the Spooky Men’s Chorale seems to be a re-enactment of a painting, but I can’t remember which one.

It reminds me of Hieronymus Bosch. Who can set me straight?

I was assuming the subject of the painting was Jesus being removed from the cross, but I’m not 100% sure.

It reminded me less of Bosch and more of the Rembrandt “Anatomy Lesson of Dr Tulp” – but I don’t think it’s that, either!
