   Different strokes for different folks – that’s about all I can say. Who is to judge? Who is to cast the first stone? Don’t get too worried about the cost. A new church, let alone a cathedral, costs a mint these days- when much of the world is starving to death and dying from aids.

   Thank God for a prophetic word.  Within 10 miles of us here on the Capital Beltway we have 5 of these places of American Idolatry.  The Christian Church is nothing if not counter-cultural – it grew out of a movement empowered by the spirit of a man who was executed as an insurgent, someone identified by the powerful as a political threat needing to be assassinated – hardly someone popular who reflected the feel-good-on-demand-pay-as-you-go social establishment of his, and our day.
