8/26/19 – Just sent emails, but am copying here: Scott Davis has been working hard on improvements to ChoralNet, and will be rolling out some of them on Wednesday around mid-day. Most won’t impact much on your moderating roles, but we wanted you to be aware of what will be coming:
He has added a stand-alone Events category. So if anyone submits an announcement or other type of post that is really an event, please direct them to the Events option. That will have fields for start and end dates, location, and images. Scott will remove existing events from the Announcements section.
Users will be able to once again edit and delete their posts themselves (whew!).
Other updates that won’t really affect your moderating:
He’s added back in the Featured video, which users will be able to submit for consideration.
We’ll have an “On this day” calendar item, like birthdays, premiers, etc.
