The award-winning William Baker Festival Singers opens its 27th concert season with a program called “I Believe!” on Sunday, 3 November 2024, 3:00 CST, at the historic St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1307 Holmes Street in downtown Kansas City, MO. The program, conducted by Dr. Baker, will include “Let All Mortal Flesh” of Edward Bairstow; “Svete Tikhiy” from the Rachmaninoff “Vespers,” “O Vos Omnes” of da Victoria and the South African motet “Indodana,” along with the American hymns, spirituals and gospels. The highlight of the concert is the world premier of “My Shepherd” by Composer-in-Residence, Dr. Sean Sweeden.
