Vox Venti Chicago INaugural Concert

The Inaugural Concert of Vox Venti, a new Chicago-based semi-professional choir dedicated to the championing diversity in the choral canon will be Saturday, October 8, 7:30 PM, in the nave of the Wicker Park Lutheran Church, 1500 N. Hoyne Avenue in Chicago. Entitled “Voice of the Wind” the concert will feature works by Chen Yi, Ed Frazier Davis, Jester Hairston, Gabriel Jackson, Daniel Sabzghabai, and Veljo Tormis, plus Adolphus Hailstork’s thrilling “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes,” along with a newly commissioned work by Chicagoan Stacy Garrop. Ed Frazier Davis is Founder & Artistic Director. Vox Venti is the newest ensemble of the William Baker Choral Foundation. ChoralFoundation.org/concerts
