Vox Alta — a collaborative group of eight sopranos and altos in the San Francisco Bay area — will sing works celebrating the colors of the world. The program includes music by Joan Szymko, Maurice Ravel, Veljo Tormis, C.V. Stanford, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Hildegard von Bingen, Michael Bussewitz-Quarm, Jocelyn Hagen, Edna Yeh, and more.
This concert is a benefit for Creative Growth, an Oakland-based non-profit that advances the inclusion of artists with developmental disabilities in contemporary art and strengthens community by providing a supportive studio environment and gallery representation.
