Join Voices of Silicon Valley, a dynamic and innovative choir, for an evening of musical exploration and celebration. One of the new pieces, “Visions of Guadalupe,” is dedicated to the memory of Yolanda Lopez, a visionary Chicana artist and activist, who passed away in 2020.
The program will also include works by Kaija Saariaho, a Finnish composer known for her spectral and expressive style; and Pamela Z, a San Francisco-based composer and performer who works with voice, live electronic processing, and video. The concert will showcase the diversity and creativity of vocal music in the 21st century.
The concert will take place on Sunday, October 22 at 6 pm at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, located at 2868 Mission St., San Francisco. Doors will open at 5 pm, where you can buy drinks and refreshments. Tickets and details are available online at Eventbrite. Don’t miss this unique and inspiring performance!
