Experience Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living with Handel’s majestic coronation anthem, Zadok the Priest and Vivaldi’s beloved Gloria in a unique and vibrant treble setting of the traditional Latin hymn. Ending the program is Copland’s “The Promise of Living,” a cherished American quintet from The Tenderland celebrating the enduring values of hard work, harmony with the land and the profound joy of human connection.
Résonance performs “The Promise of Living” on Thursday, October 9 at 7:30 pm, Countryside Community Church. Hear over 150 voices as the Résonance Festival Choir and joins choirs from Creighton University and Sing Omaha with musicians from the Omaha Symphony and Omaha Conservatory of Music, conducted by A. Barron Breland.
