The New South Festival Singers & Chamber Orchestra with soloists Sue Lawton and Scott Smith, and organist Will Buthod perform the 20th annual Andrew Cain Memorial Masterworks Concert featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams: FIVE MYSTICAL SONGS and John Rutter’s REQUIM. Music Director Lynn Swanson will conduct the 40-voice ensemble in the ensemble’s 40th anniversary season. With the pending retirement of Ms. Swanson at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 concert season, this will be her final masterworks performance with the Festival Singers.
There will be one performance only, Sunday, March 23, 4:00 PM, in the nave of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 515 East Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur, Georgia. Tickets at the door or online at FestivalSingers.org/concerts
New South Festival Singers was founded in 1985 as Gwinnett Festival Singers and was known from 1998-2015 as William Baker Festival Singers. The choir is an ensemble of the William Baker Choral Foundation. ChoralFoundation.org
