The New South Festival Singers, in the final concert under the leadership of retiring Music Director & Conductor Lynn Swanson will perform their annual concert at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. The performance, entitled Follow Me to Heaven, will be Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 3:00 PM, at the Circular Church, 150 Meeting Street in historic Charleston. Admission is free to the one-hour program that will include modern works by Blake Henson, Daniel Gawthrop, Bobby McFerrin, and F. Melius Christiansen, along with the Festival Singers’ signature early American spirituals and gospels. Early arrival is recommended for best seats. The New South Festival Singers was founded in 1985, delighting capacity audiences at the Piccolo Spoleto since 1989.
