NaperVoice is Naperville, Illinois’ newest performing arts organization and a unique philanthropic adult choir. The theme of “gratitude” will again be explored at its Fall 2023 Concert, “Gather in Gratitude 2: From Bach to the Beatles and Beyond”. This performance is Sunday, November 19, 4:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Rd., Naperville.
Genres including classical, world music, and pop from four different centuries will be
represented in a program including works by Bach, Esenvalds, Rorem, and Lennon/McCartney. NaperVoice will also perform “Prayer for Ukraine” in Ukrainian,
conducted by its College Student Conducting Intern Nazarii Mykhailenko and accompanied by the Chicago Bandura Ensemble.
The 35-voice auditioned choir, composed of both paid professional and auditioned volunteer singers from twenty Chicago-area communities, is led by Founding Conductor/Artistic Director Philip Spencer, a graduate of the Yale University School of Music, who also founded the Edina (MN) Chorale and the Lutheran Youth Choir International.
Proceeds will benefit this concert’s designated local charitable organization, Loaves and Fishes Community Services. Further information and tickets are available at napervoice.org or at the door for a slightly higher fee.
