Melodia Women’s Choir presents
Global Echoes
Sunday, April 26 at 4pm
Holy Apostles
296 Ninth Avenue, b/t W27 & W28 Streets, Chelsea, NYC
Note, this concert is a Sunday matinee performance
Global Echoes weaves together intimate, reflective pieces such as Du bist die Ruh, Dirait-on, and Molitva with rhythmic and playful selections including Over Hill, Over Dale, Happy Land, and Flight, while drawing on multiple languages and traditions—from art song and modern choral writing to folk music of the British Isles, Japan, and Indonesia through works like Sakura, Dago Inang Sarge, and The Parting Glass. Sacred pillars such as Canticle to the Spirit and the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis balance secular storytelling.
