Britten’s Ceremony of Carols is one of the great Christmas choral works written for young voices, featuring harp, vocal solos, and the rousing canon, “This Little Babe.” The chorus will also be singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town and a Hanukkah medley. Additionally, hear performances by the Concert Band and Orchestra, including Faure’s Pavone, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, as well as instrumental Holiday favorites. The concert will conclude with a joint performance from all three ensembles of Let There Be Peace On Earth. Following superior ratings at their recent competitions, the Marblehead High School chorus, band, and orchestra come together for a spectacular winter concert – don’t miss the chance to support our youth and hear great music.
