The Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit & Chamber Orchestra perform a concert entitled “Mozart & His American Contemporaries” featuring Mozart’s MISSA BREVIS IN D, K-194 and AVE VERUM CORPUS, along with music composed in America during Mozart’s lifetime. Music Director Dr. William O. Baker and associate Music Director Niccole Williams will conduct the Summer Singers and chamber orchestra with soloists Melissa Overton, Jennifer Lahasky, Sean Sweeden and Michael Hon. In addition to the Mozart works, featured composers include William Billings, John Antes, Christian Gregor and Johann Christian Bechler. The concert will be followed by a festive reception provided by the Friends of St. Paul’s Music. The Summer Singers is an ensemble of the William Baker Choral Foundation.
