Dr Anderson
I read about your upcoming talk on singing with people experiencing severe memory loss. I wanted to share a song I wrote inspired by my father. In his last years with dementia we sang together daily. He never forgot the old songs. I have conducted at three Carnegie Halls and had an opera premiere at Lincoln Center but my greatest moments were those shared with my father.
The song is in a musical of mine, sung by an old gay man struggling to remember the love of his life, a man who has passed away.
