The William Baker Festival Singers will host the 70-voice Chant Claire, an up and coming choral ensemble from Milwaukee, in a special joint concert in Kansas City. The performance will be Sunday, June 9, 3:00 PM, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 1307 Holmes Street in downtown Kansas City, MO. The choirs became well acquainted in 2023 when the Festival Singers were in residence in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The widely diverse program will include works by Vaughan Williams, Bruckner, Gjeilo, MacMillen and others, in addition to American spirituals and gospels. Admission is free but donations will be received to support the travel expenses of Chant Claire. The concert will be followed by a Wine and Cookie Reception.
