On Sunday, 22 December, at 3pm, the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus presents a selection of original carols and arrangements that have been written for the choir over three decades. This ‘reprise’ performance will be complemented with a brand new carol from local composer, Carter Datz. Like so many pieces created for the Chamber Chorus, his “Alleluia! A Be Work Is Come On Hand” is scored for a cappella double choir. Similar examples by Bob Chilcott and Eriks Esenvalds are among the pieces selected for this, while Yakov Gubanov offers a wholly new ‘take’ on the beloved “Crown of Roses” by Tchaikovsky. Tickets are available in advance through the Chorus’s website, or at the door while seats remain.
