Brooklyn Treble Choir celebrates youth, freedom and new growth with its “Forever Young” concert program Saturday, May 4th, 7:00pm at First Unitarian Congregation (124 Pierrepont St., Brooklyn, NY) . The audience and choir will experience a musical meditation on youth that evokes tenderness, optimism and curiosity along with the complexities of loss and growing into adulthood. All are invited to reconnect to their younger selves through songs of play and reflect on the fleeting nature of childhood with poignant texts by Sara Teasdale, Melissa Apperson, and Langston Hughes. This joyous sonic feast will feature works by Melissa Dunphy, Ysaye Barnwell, Antonin Dvorák, Rosephanye Powell, Mari Esabel Valverde, Elliot Levine, Sarah Quartel and others. BK Treble is thrilled to be joined in this very special performance by the young singers of Edward R. Murrow High School’s Treble Chorus.
