Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert, a timeless tradition and brilliant celebration, will return to Sarasota this holiday season.
This soul-stirring symphony of sound and spectacle recreates Vienna’s Golden Age by bringing “Waltz King” Johann Strauss, Jr.’s music to life. Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert returns viewers to a time of opulent splendor, complete with exquisite costumes and lush floral arrangements on stage.
This annual event, popular with audiences across North America, comprises some of Europe’s best singers, internationally acclaimed dancers, and a complete orchestra playing a soaring musical mix of overtures, arias, and duets, including the Blue Danube Waltz.
This wonderful Christmas party, led and presented with humorous wit by a charming expert in Viennese music, invites audiences to waltz into the new year with fun.
Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and Glatz Loft Concerts will co-present this event. Artists are subject to change without notice.
