Take a road trip across the country and experience the sounds and stories that helped shape the nation as the New Jersey Choral Society presents “Reflections: American Soundscape,“ a Pops Spectacular, on Friday, March 13 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, March 14 at 3:00 pm at West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood.
This lively concert, conducted by Artistic Director Dr. Patrick Chiu and Assistant Conductor Christopher Vehmas, features songs that reflect a kaleidoscope of unique musical colors and genres such as Appalachia and Bluegrass, Motown, Country, and Broadway. Hits by such popular artists as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5, and a medley by John Denver will be included. Songs from award-winning Broadway shows such as tick, tick…Boom, Man of La Mancha, and Kimberly Akimbo will also be featured. Appalachian and Bluegrass folksongs such as I’ll Fly Away, In the Sweet By and By, and Down in the River to Pray will round out the program.
Tickets are $30 for general admission and $25 for students and seniors. An additional $5 discount is offered for individuals with disabilities and up to three companions.
