Join us in late 18th-century Vienna to hear 5 works written within a few miles and 31 years of each other!
We will present Mozart‘s beloved Requiem alongside Mass #2 by Marianna Martines (the 2nd performance — ever! — in the US), and 3 short works by Michael Haydn, the immensely talented (but sadly eclipsed) younger brother of Joseph Haydn. With professional soloists and the Jubilate Baroque Orchestra—a program of the San Francisco Early Music Society.
Performances:
Saturday, May 10th, 4pm, Berkeley
Sunday, May 11th, 4pm, San Francisco
Online: available late May

You forgot to mention that it is SF Bach Choir directed by Magen Solomon! (Or rather I only figured that out after going to the Event website, then I noticed “by SF Bach….” after the date in the small print.) 🙂
