We are calling all singers and orchestra players to participate in an international COVID-19 solidarity project that was initiated in Italy and is gaining lots of momentum.
Similar to what some orchestra and choirs have done independently, this project will involve many musicians from all over the world in a virtual performance of Verdi’s Va Pensiero. The project is supported by several opera houses and other musical organizations.
Singers, instrumentalists, world class soloists, orchestra players, music students and even passionate amateurs, will submit recordings to create a large musical video collage to be published online.
This project is not for profit. From the top stars to the video editors, all participants are volunteers.
