Pacific Edge Voices is seeking musically omnivorous basses and tenors for their upcoming season and a capella Jazz and Pop Concert! Contact for more info and to schedule an audition.
About PEV:
Building on 35 years of dynamic choral singing in the San Francisco Bay Area and around the world, Pacific Edge Voices is a premier Grammy-nominated vocal ensemble, best known for our extensive diverse repertoire of high quality choral a cappella music, as well as collaborations with high-profile and popular artists as well as emerging composers.
Our Repertoire:
Each season has a varied repertoire that includes classical pieces from all eras, African-American spirituals and, in our A Cappella Jazz & Pop concert, every conceivable genre – ‘hardly strictly’ jazz & pop! Past collaborations have included Bobby McFerrin, Sufjan Stevens, Meredith Monk, and Sweet Honey in the Rock. We worked with Dave Brubeck to produce two CDs of his choral music, and our Grammy nomination was for a performance of Bernstein’s Mass with Kent Nagano conducting. Explore our website for music samples and more information on our history.
Rehearsals:
PEV rehearses Monday nights in Berkeley near the North Berkeley BART station at 7:30, and the season generally runs from late August to the following June.
