Hello! Come join the Schiller Inst. NYC Chorus for our Summer/Fall season.
We are currently preparing for both a mid-summer concert and a 9/11 memorial concert. Repertoire will include Schubert’s Mass in G, Brahm’s wonderful “Naenie”, several spirituals including “Poor Man Lazrus” by Jester Hairston and Nathaniel Dett’s “Let Us Cheer the Weary Traveler”, and sections from Bach’s “Jesu Meine Freude”.
Our chorus rehearses in several branch locations in Manhattan, Flushing, Brooklyn, and Northern NJ, and comes together for our larger events.
All voice types are welcome, no auditions necessary. The chorus rehearses and performs at the Verdi scientific tuning A=432 Hz.
