The Foundation for the Revival of Classical Culture is seeking singers of all voice types to fill out a chorus for the “Ode to Joy” movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony for a concert at Carnegie Hall on Monday, December 16, 2019 | 7:00PM. Please visit fftrocc.org for more information about the concert. This “Beethoven 250th Celebrated” will kick off the next year’s 250th anniversary of Beethoven. The program will include:
Brahms Nänie, Op. 82 (performed by Schiller Inst. NYC Chorus)
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, “Emperor”
Beethoven “Ode To Joy” – From Symphony No. 9

Saturday, December 14 11:00am Dress rehearsal (and video recording) (Salvation Army Executive Headquarters 120 W. 14th St.)
Monday, December 16, 2019 | 3:00PM call time (for a final rehearsal with orchestra). 7:00pm concert (Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall)
While auditions are not required for participation, singers are expected to have familiarity with the piece (ie have performed it before or are capable of learning your part on your own), sing on pitch with decent German pronunciation, and follow the director.
The entire concert, including 9th Symphony, will be performed at the Verdi tuning of C~256 Hz.
