The Plant City Community Chorale begins its 8th year Monday January 18, 2016, at 7:00 pm at 1st Presbyterian Church 404 Reynolds Street, Plant City, FL.
This SATB choir began with 12 voices … concerts now are usually 36 voices.
Conductor Claudia Bolano has incorporated Argentinian, Canadian, and French compositions into the mix of the American, English, and Latin repertoire.
The group performs four concerts a year: Christmas, Patriotic, and the remaining two based on the conductor’s whim/plan/idea…. These Fall and Spring concert pieces have been as diverse as Broadway, music related to the “language” of music, and Spirituals.
The Chorale is opened to any singer 16 or older. Sight reading music is not required; and while singers are not auditioned, there is a “vocal placement” with Ms. Bolano.
Rehearsals are Mondays from 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm, with an occasional Saturday workshop.
There is required formal attire, member dues, and music deposit.
