Announcing openings for all voice parts as we prepare for the second half of our concert season “ln Nature’s Realm” with Maestro Lawrence Golan and the fabulous York Symphony Orchestra. A highlight of the spring will be a performance of A Sea Symphony, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ marvelous epic choral symphony based on the poetry of Walt Whitman.
Now in its 56th performance season, the York Symphony Chorus has distinguished itself through the presentation of expressive and musically excellent performances of choral masterworks such as Beethoven1s Symphony No. 9 and Haydn’s resplendent oratorio, The Creation.
Auditions for new member s will be held Monday, January 4 and January 11 from 6:15 – 7:20 at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 47 West Philadelphia St., downtown York. Sing 11America the Beautiful11 and a brief musicianship check.
