Happy Holidays! What a wild and festive season it’s been. We had some BLOCKBUSTER episodes, some internet drama that both did some damage, and brought a lot of new listeners and subscribers. But, putting opinions on the internet always brings the risk of drama. And as always, kept churning out FREE resources for educators, singers and fans of the Arts. Special thanks to the Patreon and Substack paid subscribers. We couldn’t do this without you! You can see ALL of the amazing organizations that support this show at Choralosophy.com/show-sponsors

Don’t forget to check out the shirts, mugs and wall art in the Choralosophy Shop!

November!!

Episode 221, composer, arranger and conductor Michael Barrett joined me on the GIA/Walton series to discuss his approach to arranging the music of South Africa for the choirs of the world. Episode 222, is a presentation about the ways we should 1. take all education theories with a grain of salt, while 2. looking for the wisdom in all of the good ones! Episode 223 is an interesting discussion with a Physician. Dr. Olapeju Simoyan, who believes that music education should be a foundational part of all education. Speaking of foundational…Chy Billings appears on Episode 225 to discuss the importance of the Elementary school years in establishing musicianship and lifelong music makers.

Winter 2024

Episode 226 with renowned Voice Teacher David Jones is the latest addition to the Vocal Pedagogy Category on the show. This episode is a gold mine of useful exercises, demonstrations and explanations for our singers and for ourselves! Episode 227, is composer Samuel Andreyev bringing me right back to the Episode 228, releasing Friday this week is a Science Teacher from Los Angeles who invited on to discuss the problems in Education PD and our obsession with the newest fad. Episode 224 was short. Due to some pretty nasty mud slinging hurled at this show, we took the time to simply state who we are and why we do this program. Tune in if you missed it!
