These pieces are widely performed in the USA, perhaps because the texts are rarely set or perhaps because the melodies linger. This recording of ‘As the hand is made for holding’ was made back in 2006, but, as with all Six of the Anthems for SATB and organ we recently released in an anthology booklet, they are all timeless and within the scope of most choirs and small groups.
