The Germania Singing & Sport Society is seeking singers for their Men’s Chorus and Women’s Chorus. The Germania is a German private club in Columbus, Ohio that promotes German culture through song. The Germania dates to 1866, a long tradition of German singing!
We sing mostly in German, though we do sing in English and other languages. In addition to singing the German Lieder, we sing from other periods of music dating back to the 15th century and up to the 21st century.
You do not have to speak German to join the choir, we’ll teach you pronunciation along the way. This fun group of singers rehearses on Thursday evenings beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Come join a lighthearted group of people who love to sing and is known to have a Bier or two along the way.
