Seeking short term Tenor and Bass section leaders (Glenview, IL)

Glenview Community Church (Glenview, IL – a suburb of Chicago) is seeking tenors and basses to serve as temporary section leaders for its Chancel Choir for two main services on Dec. 3 and 24 (no other Sundays). Singers are expected to attend weekly rehearsals which are held on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00. The Dec. 3 worship service will be at 10:00 a.m. with a 9:15-9:45 pre-service warm-up and a Dec. 2 dress rehearsal (10:00-12:00). The Dec. 24 Christmas Eve service will be at 11:00 p.m. with a 10:00 pm call. All calls are held at 1000 Elm Street in Glenview.
Interested candidates should demonstrate superior skills in sight reading, choral blend, intonation, the ability to sing in a variety of styles, and overall vocal agility. The ability to respond well to feedback and encourage/help volunteer singers is paramount.
Attendance and punctuality at all rehearsal/services is expected. Pay is $75 per call. The Christmas Eve service fee will be $100.
