The Peninsula Women’s Chorus (PWC), based in Palo Alto, invites you to join our wonderfully talented group of singers, led by Artistic Director MartÃn Benvenuto. Auditions for all treble voice parts will be held August 9 and August 13, 2018 or other dates by appointment. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings in Palo Alto, starting August 20, 2018.
For over 50 years, the PWC has inspired and enriched its singers and audiences through the creation and performance of diverse, dynamic and adventurous music. We are a two-time winner of The American Prize in Choral Performance as well as Chorus America’s prestigious ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming.
Last year we embarked on an ambitious, multi-year commissioning project, “Trailblazers,” which focuses on 3 pioneering American women. This season, in our 2nd year of the “Trailblazers” project, we have commissioned a work, honoring transgender rights activist Miss Major Griffin-Gracy by Mari Esabel Valverde, to be premiered in Spring 2019.
